Composition
Measurement
of the chemical composition of gases, liquids, and solids is important to
determine the quality or purity of raw materials, intermediates
or final products. These parameters are not just important in chemical
industry, but also in greenhousefarming, enforcement of environmental
law, monitoring immission and emission (e.g. deNOx processes).
In particular for analysis of liquids and gases a wide variety of
analyzers is available. The chemical composition of solid materials
can be analyzed by both the traditional semi quantitative X-ray
fluorescence method, and the more accurate and more 'multi-component' Instrumental
Neutron Activation Analysis.
