La technique est bas\u00e9e sur le principe que les petites particules se d\u00e9placent \u00e0 vitesse plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e que les plus grosses particules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un faisceau laser est diffract\u00e9 par les&nbsp; nano particules en suspension. La diffusion des particules cause des fluctuations rapides de l\u2019intensit\u00e9 de la lumi\u00e8re diffract\u00e9e autour d\u2019une valeur moyenne, \u00e0 un certain angle (de 10 \u00e0 90 \u00b0), d\u00e9pendant de leur taille.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour une temp\u00e9rature et viscosit\u00e9 donn\u00e9e, la&nbsp; fonction de corr\u00e9lation peut \u00eatre calcul\u00e9e, r\u00e9sultant en un coefficient de diffusion. Ce coefficient de diffusion peut \u00eatre converti directement en diam\u00e8tre hydrodynamique par la loi de Newton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La technique est utilis\u00e9e pour d\u00e9terminer la taille moyenne de nano particules entre 3 et 3000 nm.
