Plus connue est la d\u00e9termination de la surface BET par adsorption d&rsquo;azote. Dans des cas sp\u00e9cifiques, comme les z\u00e9olites ou de charbons activ\u00e9s, l&rsquo;utilisation d&rsquo;argon ou de dioxyde de carbone est pr\u00e9f\u00e9rentielle \u00e0 l&rsquo;adsorption de l&rsquo;azote. Les \u00e9chantillons \u00e0 basse surface peuvent \u00eatre caract\u00e9ris\u00e9s ad\u00e9quatement par adsorption de krypton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La formation d\u2019une couche mono mol\u00e9culaire sur la surface est utilis\u00e9e pour d\u00e9terminer la surface sp\u00e9cifique, tandis que la condensation capillaire peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9e pour \u00e9valuer le volume des pores et la distribution de la taille des pores. Avant l\u2019analyse, l&rsquo;\u00e9chantillon est pr\u00e9trait\u00e9 \u00e0 temp\u00e9rature \u00e9lev\u00e9e sous vide ou sous gaz circulant dans le but d&rsquo;\u00e9liminer tout contaminant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, deux techniques diff\u00e9rentes peuvent \u00eatre distingu\u00e9es:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&gt;&gt; La technique \u00e0 flot utilise un d\u00e9tecteur TCD afin d&rsquo;obtenir la quantit\u00e9 de gaz adsorb\u00e9 r\u00e9sultant en une surface BET et \/ ou le volume total des pores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&gt;&gt; La technique volum\u00e9trique fournit plus de donn\u00e9es, car de nombreux points d\u2019adsorption et \/ ou de d\u00e9sorption sont mesur\u00e9s. Ceci fournit&nbsp; une isotherme dont on peut d\u00e9duire la surface BET, le volume poreux, la taille des pores et la distribution des pores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les analyses de la technique \u00e0 flot sont effectu\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019aide un Qsurf M3 et le rapport est constitu\u00e9 d&rsquo;une seule valeur pour la surface BET, ou bien le volume total des pores.
