Wij beschikken over verschillende onderzoeksopstellingen om slijtage van vaste deeltjes door middel van wrijving en\/of abrasie te bestuderen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Een veel toegepaste methode voor grotere deeltjes zoals tabletten en extrudaten is de tablet hardheid tester waarbij de breekkracht van individuele deeltjes kan worden gemeten, zowel in axiale als in radiale richting. Deze methode werkt echter niet voor kleinere deeltes; daarvoor hebben wij de zgn.&nbsp;<strong>robotic compression tester<\/strong>&nbsp;ontwikkeld waardoor we in staat zijn om de individuele breeksterkte van kleinere deeltjes ook te kunnen onderzoeken van deeltjes tot enkele 100 micrometer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Voor onderzoek aan deeltjes in bulk zijn verschillende andere opstellingen beschikbaar afhankelijk van de toepassing van de bewuste materialen:&nbsp;<strong>bulk crushing strength<\/strong>&nbsp;waarbij de fines worden gekwantificeerd die gevormd worden tijdens het consolideren bij verschillende drukken, slijtage van granules of pellets door roteren in een&nbsp;<strong>rotating drum<\/strong>&nbsp;waarbij de gevormde fines worden gekwantificeerd, slijtage van kleinere deeltjes in een zgn.&nbsp;<strong>repeated impact test<\/strong>&nbsp;waarbij een relatie kan worden gelegd met slijtage tijdens pneumatisch transport, en&nbsp;<strong>fluidisatie slijtage<\/strong>&nbsp;zoals dat van toepassing is voor processen waarbij de deeltjes gefluidiseerd worden en deeltjes-deeltjes botsingen in een fluide bed slijtage veroorzaken.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:35%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img
