{"id":4884,"date":"2022-03-17T15:39:45","date_gmt":"2022-03-17T15:39:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solids-solutions.com\/?page_id=4884"},"modified":"2022-12-19T15:31:06","modified_gmt":"2022-12-19T15:31:06","slug":"neutronen-activeringsanalyse","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.solids-solutions.com\/nl\/rd\/chemische-samenstelling-analyse\/neutronen-activeringsanalyse\/","title":{"rendered":"Neutronen activeringsanalyse"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"gb-container gb-container-c7098efc\"><div class=\"gb-inside-container\">\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:65%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Neutronen activeringsanalyse (NAA) is een unieke en zeer gevoelige analytische techniek voor het uitvoeren van kwalitatieve en kwantitatieve multi-element analyse van bulk en sporenelementen in vloeibare en vaste stof monsters van ongeveer 60 elementen (waarvan 30-40 elementen simultaan).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Voor bepaling van de chemische samenstelling biedt NAA voor veel elementen gevoeligheden die superieur zijn vergeleken met andere analytische technieken voor bepaling van de chemische samenstelling. Een detectiegrens van 1-2 ppb is haalbaar. De reden voor de hoge gevoeligheid van neutronen activeringsanalyse is dat veel monstermatrices transparant lijken. De elementen H, C, O, N, P, Si vormen nauwelijks radioactieve isotopen. Bijgevolg is monstervoorbereiding nauwelijks vereist en is alleen reductie van de monstergrootte en (in sommige gevallen) drogen noodzakelijk. Hierdoor is de techniek niet-destructief en vermijdt daarmee gecompliceerde ontsluitingsstappen zoals oplossen of ontleden, welke vaak noodzakelijk zijn met andere analysetechnieken. Een ander voordeel is dat de techniek zowel kleine hoeveelheden van het monstermateriaal &#8211; 100 tot 200 milligram is meestal voldoende &#8211; maar ook grote stukken materiaal in behandeling kan nemen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De methode is gebaseerd op de conversie van stabiele nucliden naar radioactieve nucliden (radionucliden) door bestraling met thermische neutronen (neutronen van lage energie). Deze radionucliden stabiliseren door terugvallen naar stabiele kernen onder uitzending van radioactieve gammastraling. De energie van de gammastraling levert elementspecifieke informatie over de radionuclide en is dus geschikt voor kwalitatieve element analyse.
