On the 5th and 6th of June 2024, scientific equipment distributor Sysmex / Malvern will organize a two-day expert meeting on the theme of particle size and shape characterization. The meeting will take place in Etten-Leur, The Netherlands, and our colleague Shannon Groen will contribute to 1st day of the scientific program with a presentation entitled:
“Extraordinary applications of laser diffraction“
The lecture deals with amongst other things high-temperature applications and kinetics measurements with laser diffraction equipment.

Shannon will also be present as an invited speaker during the Netherlands Working Group on Drying (NWGD) symposium on the 19<sup>th</sup> of June 2024 : Challenges in Powder Drying.
During this event, organized in Wageningen, The Netherlands, Shannon will deliver a contribution with the title:
“On the presence or absence of nanoparticles in powder materials“
This lecture will touch upon unique measuring technologies and international legislation associated with the use of powder materials and the potential presence and release of nanoparticles during use.
